How Loopstead works
A practical YouTube looper for study, practice, and deep work.
Loopstead adds a focused workspace around YouTube's embedded
player. It does not download or re-host videos. Instead, it helps
you repeat a useful sound, lesson, or passage while keeping your
timer and next task visible in the same tab.
-
01
Paste a YouTube URL
Use a standard watch link, a youtu.be share link, a Shorts
link, or the 11-character video ID. Choose Load to start it.
-
02
Choose what repeats
Leave Repeat one active for the full video, or use Set A and
Set B to repeat a precise section such as a phrase, riff, or
worked example.
-
03
Start a focus session
Set the focus and break lengths, pin a task, and press Start.
Completed sessions stay in this browser so you can review your
time without creating an account.
For language study
Repeat a sentence without finding the timestamp again.
Mark the beginning and end of a spoken phrase. A slightly longer
interval that includes natural silence is usually easier to
follow than a tightly clipped loop.

For music practice
Slow the search-and-replay cycle down.
Use YouTube's player controls for playback speed, then let
Loopstead handle the repeat boundary. Expand the loop as the
passage becomes comfortable.

For focused work
Keep one familiar sound bed for one defined block.
A stable playlist reduces the urge to keep choosing new tracks.
Pair it with a clear task and a time box you can realistically

Common questions
Before you start looping
How do I loop a YouTube video?
Paste a YouTube watch, share, Shorts, or live URL above and
choose Load. Repeat one is enabled by default, so the video
starts again when it ends.
Can I repeat only part of a YouTube video?
Yes. Play the video to the desired beginning and choose Set A,
then move to the ending and choose Set B. Loopstead repeats that
interval until you choose Clear.
Where are my playlists and tasks stored?
They are stored in local storage on your current browser. There
is no account or cloud sync, so clearing site data also clears
your saved workspace.
