Loopstead is operated as a small, independent web app. This page explains what data is collected when you use loopstead.app, why, and what your options are. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@loopstead.app.

The short version

• No account. You don't sign up. There is no user database.
• Your data is stored in your browser. Playlists, todos, session history, and stats are kept in your device's local storage. They never leave it.
• YouTube and Google may set cookies through the embedded video player. We don't control those.
• We may display ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve them.
• We use minimal analytics to count visits and understand which features get used.

What we collect

Data we store on your device

The app stores the following in your browser's local storage so it works between visits:

• Your playlists and saved YouTube video URLs
• Your todo list and completed tasks
• Your session history and timer statistics
• Your preferences (volume, view mode, repeat mode)

This data is local to your browser. We cannot read it, and clearing your browser data will erase it. There is no cloud sync.

Data we collect server-side

We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to record aggregate visits (page views, country-level location, referrer). This data is anonymous and is not linked to any individual.

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifying information, because we never ask for it.

Cookies and tracking

First-party cookies

Loopstead itself sets no first-party cookies. We use local storage (not cookies) for the data described above.

Third-party cookies

The following third parties may set cookies in your browser:

• YouTube / Google. The embedded YouTube player loads content from youtube.com and may set cookies for video playback, advertising, and analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense. If we display ads through Google AdSense, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• Google Fonts. We load typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google may log the request as part of its operation.

Advertising

Loopstead may participate in Google AdSense or similar ad networks to keep the service free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.

Children's privacy

Loopstead does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The service has no age verification because it has no account system. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will help where possible (note: we do not have account-level data to delete).

Your rights

You can clear all data Loopstead stores by clearing local storage for loopstead.app in your browser settings, or by using your browser's "Clear site data" option. There is no server-side data to request or delete because we don't store any.

For data held by third parties (YouTube, Google), please contact those providers directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date.
