A quiet workspace for deep work.
Loopstead is a free, single-page tool for looping YouTube videos alongside a Pomodoro timer. It exists for people who study, write, and build with music on repeat.
Why it exists
Most YouTube loopers are minimal but isolated — just a player. Most Pomodoro apps are minimal but silent — just a timer. Real focus sessions need both: a song you can sink into, and a clock that holds the boundary.
Loopstead combines them into one calm browser tab. Paste a URL, set 25 minutes, get to work. No accounts and no notification feed competing for your attention.
What's inside
- Infinite YouTube loop with optional A–B segment selection
- Pomodoro timer with focus / short break / long break cycles
- Playlists, drag-to-reorder, shuffle, repeat modes
- Lightweight todo list with task pinning
- Session history and personal stats — kept on your device
- Four view modes: video, drifting visual, clock, fullscreen timer
- Keyboard shortcuts for everything
Privacy and data
Everything you create — playlists, todos, history — is stored in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a Loopstead server because there isn't one. The workspace is delivered as a static web app.

Who made this
Loopstead is an independent project built and maintained for people who learn and work with repeated audio. The accompanying guides are written around the app's actual behavior, its limits, and practical ways to use it. They are reviewed when the relevant feature changes.
